WENGER "RAIDS" ELITE MILITARY COMPETITION

Delemont, Switzerland - Wenger annouces their official partnership of the world renowned SWISS RAID COMMANDO, taking place from September 29 to October 1, 2005 in the region of the Swiss Jura mountains.

160 elite troops of 16 different countries from all over the world, of course also including those from the Swiss Army, will compete two days and nights in the toughest weather and terrain navigating all the elements including water, air, mountains, forests and fields.

To commemorate the event, Wenger has create The WENGER COMMANDO SRC EDITION watch especially created for this event:.

The watch is meant to deliver essential time information at a glance during missions. The elapsed time of an event or the time remaining until the next maneuvers, are as easy to read as is the large date display. Moreover, the large luminous figures and hands - especially the green chronograph hand . enhance the ability of the user to read the time even in difficult light conditions, i.e. at night. With its black PVD watch case, it is completely antireflective at night time. A 12-hour chronograph counter further enhances the functionality of this Wenger watch.

"We built functionality into this watch that the Swiss Raid Commando participants would need during competition", said R. Guy Corcoran, Wenger N.A.s Chief Marketing Officer. "This Swiss-made timepiece is the perfect marriage of functionality and durability".

The additional crown at 9 o'clock is used to adjust the inner bi-directional rotating bezel. The black zone of this bezel indicates the elapsed hours, while the green zone with anti-clockwise indicators serves as a countdown function of the remaining minutes or seconds.

Only a limited quantity of these watches have been produced and are available for a limited time.
