MEDIA UPDATE: race status as at February, 15 2009
Helly Hansen Prunesco continues to be in the lead with Easy Implant-Mt.Compagnie.com following closely behind. Spirit Canada leads the remaining teams being the first to embark on the kayak section while both Calleva and Buff follow. Antonia García from the Spanish team Medilast Sport-La Tercera suffered from a broken shoulder and her team retired from the race after reaching checkpoint 4 on February 13th at 21:34. Trespass withdrew from the race at 17:50 on February 14th; the fourth team to retire.
Five teams remain after the first five days of competition: Helly Hansen Prunesco, Easy Implant-Mt-Compagnie.com, Spirit Canada, Calleva and Buff.
